Look Fantastic April 2016 review #LFBLOOMS

A cute box from look fantastic this month although I wont be throwing out last months in order to keep it as I still prefer that one :) an adorable little quote written on the inside of the lid this month, making me feel sooo summery, play the music loud with a pimms in my hand the windows open and prepare the BBQ that's my thoughts from the look of this box.

Its like a ready set go! get ready for summer box.

The usual Elle edition Ill be looking forward to sit down and give that a read later on.

Also just before I start on the products I would just like to say that the samples are all huge!

My Vitamins

a box of 20 dissolvable tablet, I'm guessing they are energy/pick me ups but it doesn't give you any information on the box apart from performance effervescent and there is no information in the booklet, however lemon flavour sounds intriguing so I will definitely give them a try. RRP Unknown I have tried having a google and all I can find is out of stock, which tells me they must be sought after.

Bloom and Blossom - Shower Gel

Basically everything free so brilliant for sensitive skin infused with cucumber and vitamin E its basically a very fresh shower gel that I can imagine leaves you feeling super clean, I do like my shower gels to smell quite strong but that's not to say that one like this wouldn't come in handy for example on headache days when strong smells is the last thing people need!

Elemis - Hand and Nail Butter

I feel like the beauty world is screaming at us this month...."come on sort yourself out the little things count too" everything seems to have a hand or foot relation, I feel a little bit like I'm being told off for not putting enough cream on through the winter :) this cream smells floral and I promise beauty world I will use it :)

Balance Me - Body Polish

Every person needs a body exfoliator and this one is very nice the smell took me some adjusting as its very spicy however it does a brilliant job of what you require it to be doing, I couldn't cope with that smell all day thou as it was way to over powering and I prefer say Melon which is my favourite smell of all time, so ginger spicy is really not my boat.

TanWorx - Tan Maintainer

I was quite excited to receive this product as who doesn't want their summer tan to last as long as possible? I know I do, I will test this out towards the end of summer and let you know.

Briogeo - Deep Conditioning Mask

quite happy with this one because as we know my hair needs all the help it can get, it smells like it will do a good job, you know how when you go to the hairdressers their shampoos and bits all have that sort of professional smell that you can never achieve at home even with the shampoos they give you? well this smells just like that smell! I have big big hopes purely based on this so wish me luck!

Rituals - Hand Scrub

See what I mean another nudge from beauty world to hint hint sort your hands out, The most beautiful bottle thou, bottles like this honestly make me sad to throw away, I always want to re purpose them for something or the other maybe I actually will with this one, any ideas please do let me  know.

Until next box xxx

Birchbox April 2016 review - Blooming Marvellous

An absolute beauty of a box again this month from Birchbox, another one that I shall be adding to my collection, Much to my husbands annoyance :).

PARLOR - Leave-in conditioner

Another product from this brand this month not that I mind in the slightest as the blow out spray that I received before works a treat, its definitely one I am going to repurchase so consequently now have high hopes for this  leave in conditioner, I cant style my hair or even maintain a little control with out leave in conditioner so this is a product I will certainly be making the most of. RRP £17 for full size.

Kueshi - Foot Care Cream

My impression for this box is prepare for summer, and what better product to place in our boxes than foot cream to get our feet flip flop ready, it smells mainly of tea tree but I do not find that  offensive as rightly or wrongly tea tree smell automatically makes me think " yep this product is going to work" I think I'm going to do the old cream on socks on and sleep method to try to get the most benefits from this cream, A good foot cream is something I have been needing for awhile so I am quite excited about seeing the results of this one! RRP £12

Cynthia Rowley Beauty - Eyeliner

This make up line is Birchbox exclusive which appeals to me as its nice to feel like you have something no one else can have, the pencil its self is very soft which makes me think that primer under your eye would be a must to help prevent the dreaded panda, the packaging is uber cute with the gold being extremely shiney, I tested on my hand and found it to be extremely long wearing which would suggest that maybe it wouldn't smudge i.e the panda I think this will be a test it and see, different skin types different results is what I think is going to happen here. RRP £11

Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse

I have seen this product literally everywhere so knew some would be turning up in a box at some point, I am very wary to be honest because I received an oil in a previous box that stated it could be used in hair, I followed the instructions and what I was left with was not ok, My hair looked awful and I had to go re wash it immediately, as such I am hesitant and reluctant to test this in my hair, but maybe if my feeling brave at some point I shall pick it up but I shouldn't hold my breath if I was you :) RRP £17

Benefit - Dew The Hoola

Wow wow wow, I was so unbelievably happy to get this product, this range is sold out where I live and I have been dying to get my hands on some! I literally gasped when I saw it :) it comes in a pump action bottle that dispenses just the right amount of product, the colour is beautiful and I can not wait for the perfect occasion to use this to its full potential, I am over the moon and just hope more new lines appear in future boxes. Happy Girl right here!! RRP £22.50

Until next box xxx

Glossybox March 2016 Review

I was sooo happy to receive the box that glossybox is known for the beautiful pink box, I really badly wanted this one for my collection well to be honest I will be happy with about 20 million of these pink ones lol.

I have come to expect alot from glossybox from last months standards and I was not disappointed in fact I love this months glossybox!

-417 - Catharis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo And Conditioner

I was quite excited to receive this product from reading the information that comes included in the box it seems to be wonderfully moisturising their full of essential oils and dead sea minerals which to me sounds like a little bit of heaven, I am so excited to use them and can only imagine how soft my hair is going to feel afterwards, my hair craves moisture and these products seem like they are going to be right up my alley! RRP £16.89 full size

Olay - Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream

Olay does not immediately strike me as a luxury brand however the RRP is £29.99 for this product so I am assuming this will be good, I don't really have skin tone issues its not really something I have ever thought about but now I come to think of it maybe my mum will benefit from this product I will be passing it on to her the next time I see her.

Hey Honey - Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum

This product smells like perfection its seriously amazing, it came out as a mustard yellow colour which I assume is the honey, they say it has antiseptic and antibacterial ingredients which as I see it is going to do mesmerising things to my skin! I popped some on yesterday and I swear I could see a difference even after just one day, old blemishes had cleared up slightly and dry spots seemed hydrated, I put some more on this morning and can only imagine the results getting better and better!
RRP £28.81

Collection - Speedy Highlighter

Not necessarily known as a high end brand however, I swatched this product and the colour is beautiful, I have been looking for a creamy highlighter and am more than willing to give this one a good go! I am really chuffed to receive this product and it will defiantly be put in my make up bag next time I am heading on a night out, the good thing I think about this highlighter is that it doesn't have any glitter although I do love glitter having massive chunks of it on my cheeks is not the one and I'm pleased that this one is shimmer and looks glowing as opposed to disco shine.
RRP £3.99

Luxie - Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush

A combination of my fave things right here....pink.....rose gold.....and make up brush, over the moon with this brush, its super soft and so so cute looking, its the perfect contouring or highlighting brush and seems easy enough to blend contour out with, I love this brush and am grateful that it was in this months glossybox!

Until next time xx

Cohorted March 2016 review

Cohorted March 2016

As usual my products arrived in the elegant black box tied with a beautiful black ribbon, all looking rather pretty, and inviting. I do love keeping these boxes for storage and am currently using last months one as storage for my naked palettes :).

Nails Inc - Cadogan Square

This product is described as chic and classic and they are bang on, this shade is beautiful and timeless, everybody needs a pretty nude shade in their collection and I feel this one is a brilliant addition to mine, I love a bit of Nails Inc as I find they last just the right amount of time before I'm bored of the colour and wanting a change, I honestly was so pleased to receive this shade and the good news is by the looks of it this is the only shade they sent out so everyone should receive the same one :) lucky people. RRP £9

PIXI crayon - Supernatural

Next I saw this pixi crayon, this product I remember seeing in last months booklet and not receiving it within my box, so I'm assuming that maybe there was some type of error and that it was not meant to be in last months edition and we got an accidental sneak peek, as we received the Dove true tone instead, I have tested this product out today and seems to me that you would definitely need to use some sort of primer as although it did not move about it wore off quite quickly ( I had no primer on) but I reckon a little testing to see which primer helps it last and you could have a great versatile little product on your hands here RRP £14.50

Bareminerals - Heavenly Face Brush

I do love me a make up brush I have to admit that they are my favourite thing to receive in these box subscription services that I receive and this one was no exception a beautifully dense, blunt cut brush feels soft as silk on your skin and provides medium to full coverage, they state the brush is goof proof, so some intense testing there I feel :) so very happy with this brush and hope to see more of them in the future RRP £25

The Balm - Eye primer

Now I did not mind receiving this product however I know from researching which boxes I was going to subscribe to that people have already received this product, I'm not sure how they will feel about receiving it again I suppose it all depends on how good a primer it is! I'm not sure if anything could stray me away from my primer potion but I will give it a go none the less. RRP £5

The Balm - Nude'tude eyeshadow palette

So again I was very happy to receive this product however it is a repeat, it even states in the box that it is back by popular demand, The colours are beautiful! I am particularly in love with Sexy and Seductive I can foresee some fabulous looks using this palette and know the colours are right up my street, I love that I received a whole eyeshadow palette but if I was to receive this same palette again in a few months I know I would be cross as its the main item in the box plus it would end up being given away, and I'm not signing up to cohorted to give my items away. RRP £35

A rant coming up here:

Ok so first off this companies customer service skills are atrocious at best, with simple one sentence rudely worded emails sent to me, followed by a cross one from me which resulted in somebody completely different replying and explaining properly my original issue. ( which was that they had charged me twice last month). The first email basically said it was my fault, which it turned out not to be.....so be warned if you try to get in contact with them, also I am having password issues emailed them 3 days ago and am still waiting to hear anything back.

Secondly .....right last month if you remember we received the Bareminerals night pore treatment? well my auntie works for Bareminerals, she came round to visit last night and I showed her the product after explaining to her what it was and she was looking quite baffled, she looked the product over and then told me that in fact they did bring that product out but that it was about 4 years ago! now I know that they cant always have bang on trend up to date just been released items, but seriously 4 years even things from last year I would understand, but 4 years I just couldn't believe it, if it was say one of their best sellers for 4 years and everybody was raving about it then maybe it would be ok, but she said that it wasn't even anywhere near that and was just sort of a side product that they brought out!

So needless to say I will be keeping a close eye on cohorted and their plans to check that we are not being taken for a ride, with old products all the time.

Also I wish anyone luck that decides to contact customer services.

Much love xxx

Latest In Beauty March 2016 Review

20160306_110029
I have decided to get another box this month although there wasn't as many different products this month to choose from, a lot of the same products so I think I am going to wait a few months before I order again. Give them some time to update their stocks with new things for me to test out :).
20160306_110056
I went for the 9 product box again this time, mainly so I could get a look at product sizes and what each product would come as compared to say Glossybox or Birchbox.
20160306_110120
I have fancied trying out these flash tattoos for awhile now and so when I saw them  I could not resist, I ordered 2 packets and tried them out as soon as I opened the box, They went on the exact same way as the ones from when I was a kid except shinier :) I put one of the thin bracelet ones on plus some stars and the bracelet one honestly tricked me a few times, making me think I had a bracelet on that I attempted to play with lol.20160306_110834
        20160306_111039
The tattoos looked super cute for about 2 days then slowly started wearing off in places, after 4 days I have none left, they also on the second day were a little crinkly, If you were heading out for a day/night especially a festival they would look super super cute! I absolutely love them and I am trying to work out where I could put my next one :).

20160306_110138

Next I ordered this product not for myself as it makes my head itch but for my husband who is obsessed with using it, His off on a stag do in a week or so, so perfect travel size for his weekend bag. Its quite a large sized sample and will last him quite some time, not overly much to say about this one to be honest as I personally do not like it. As the itch it creates obviously makes me scratch my head which then leads to powder under my nails which feels awful, nope nope nope no dry shampoo for me.

20160306_110146

I choose this little number to test how my better it made my hair feel, to be honest this is not a very expensive brand so if I end up liking the product it really is not going to be expensive to pop to boots and get myself some more. Its hair washing day today so I will give it a go and let you know how it goes, I have not opened and smelt the product as I did not want to risk losing any.

20160306_110157

Another dry shampoo for the husband, I got him this one for two reasons 1...so he could test another more high end brand and 2...because when I was younger my best friend would use the gloss drops from this brand and I would be forever going over to her house popping some on my own hair, seeing this brand name makes me nostalgic and I was pleased to pop this in my box even thou it wont be for personal use.

20160306_110217

A full sized product that I fancied giving a try I have humungously thick hair anyway so it wont be a everyday staple for me, however I have gotten into big bouncy hair for nights out, so this seems to me like a perfect accompaniment to that particular hair style, next time I have an evening adventure I shall test this out and hope for good results from this brand.

20160306_110229

I got this one not really knowing what it was, but thought to myself that a cooling spray would feel amazing! on my head and I was not wrong it felt so refreshing and this is a product that I will be saving for headache days as it just felt like it relieved some of the pressure that you get in the top of your head when you have had a headache for awhile or woken up and the sun has been beaming through the window directly onto your head and it hurts to even open your eyes....well this helps me with that, so a new must have for me right here!

20160306_110240

My goodness this product smells divine! I used some on the ends of my hair and kept pulling my ponytail round to smell it all day, absolutely beautiful and cant recommend it enough, my hair felt healthier without looking like I had just bathed in pure oil, I really really recommend you try to get a try of this product fantastically brilliant.

20160306_110249

not given this one a go yet and to be honest it was a last moment pick as i needed 1 more product I think I am going to save it and do a self Tan comparison in the summer. It smells like your standard tanner and seems like it would be enough to tan decently, who knows we shall see in the summer.

My opinion on this box is that yes you do get full size/very large samples however they do not constantly have a new range of products a lot of the ones I ordered in January are still available now, I feel that maybe if I waited 3 or 4 months and then checked back the products would be different, I am going to wait and in August I will have  a look see whats there and if I feel the products are different I shall order again .....
Much love xx

Birchbox March 2016 Review

20160306_111129
Hi! welcome to my views on March's Birchbox.
First off the box its self, Normally I personally like pink and sparkly items but this box has a certain appeal that I'm sure I could learn to love, I am so tempted to sit and check to see if they hid any words but I just don't have the time, I shall still keep and use this box as storage however just not as a box that would be on top of the pile.

20160306_111320
Number 4 - Lumiere d'hiver Reconstructing Masque
The first thing I spotted just inside the bag was this little pouch of hair masque, now don't get me wrong I am all for receiving a hair masque, my issue is with the amount of product compared to the amount of hair I have, I have read through the instructions in the booklet and it states to apply from root to tip, I know wet hair makes things spread further but I can honestly see no possible way of getting this spread through even half of my head let alone the whole of the mop that I have, I have gone off on a tangent I apologise, the product its self seems high end and that for someone with less hair I'm sure it will work wonders, Tomorrow is hair washing day so I will apply said hair masque to my ends first ( where I need the most help) then shall spread further up if I feel I can. I don't have any worries about achieving the results stated ( hydration and nourishment) as this product is more on the expensive end of the hair care market at RRP £32 for the full sized product.

20160306_111142
Beauty Protector - Beauty Wash
Next I saw the Beauty Protector Beauty wash, I feel we have seen this brand a few times before, I seem to remember watching quite a few videos of this product being pulled out of the box, nether the less it smells absolutely divine! I used it in the shower this morning and wow! wow! wow! I wanted to keep getting more out so I could keep having that initial whoosh of the beautiful smell up my nose, but restrained myself as I want to use it again and again! RRP £10.90 I think that if I enjoy the smell just as much in my next shower I shall 100% be purchasing myself the full size version of this product.....Im in love!!.

20160306_111149
Polaar - Polar Night Cream
Ok so night cream.....hmmmm...was my first reaction, I have never been one for creaming before bed, but last night I did just that, I didn't notice any spectacular differences when I woke up, maybe a little smoother but just a tad, I am going to persevere and if I manage to stick with it I shall update you on the benefits I see. RRP £32 for full size received 25ml.

20160306_111338
Philip B - Drop Dead Straightening Balm
Just a little excited to see this product I am a sucker for a hair oil/serum/something that makes the mop feel soft. It looks sassy and I love it, I was so tempted to hair wash day to early to try it out but I have held back the urges but tomorrow I shall be getting my coin sized amount and fixing this curly crazy hair, don't let me down Philip B!! RRP £20

20160306_111303
I have never owned a brow gel before and was pleasantly surprised this morning when I tested it, now I shall tell you the truth here, I did not have a mirror handy.....so I used my phone camera and could hardly see a thing, I was really trying to add loads so I could see ( as the phone was grainy) I then got up and went and had a look in the mirror and was shocked that not only did my eyebrows look cute but also I didn't have it everywhere as I was imagining and that in actual fact it looked really good! so if I can do it that way then when people actually use it properly it will be a game changer! RRP £13

20160306_111226
Arrow - Boost Colour Enhancing Lip Balm
Lastly was the Arrow lip balm, At first glance I was a little under whelmed at the colour I received as I tend to go for reds but actually upon swatching and waiting a little time the colour got darker and ended up a beautiful rosy pink colour, I tested on my lips and it actually turned a really lovely shade and felt lovely. I am really liking Arrow if this lip balm is anything to go by. RRP £11
Until next time my lovelies xx

Cohorted February 2016 White Box

The White Box

First off I would like to apologise for the late review of this box, this was due to my box arriving late and after many frantic emails trying to track it down it appeared at my door step this morning.

The white box is stunningly beautiful to behold with its fancy ribbon and luxurious white card, I was greeted by a spicy smell upon opening which had me worried that something had broken, but nope it hadn't, I was excited at what I was about to see and smell.

Also a little added extra I am going to be getting a mans view on the perfumes see where they stand on the subject, I can't guarantee the opinions being very detailed but he may surprise me. Im not giving him any clues, not even a name so we shall see.

I forced myself to look at the full size product last, so consequently ended up selecting products in size order so here we go.......

Chloe - 1.2ml sample

A Modern perfume that I'm sure every girl other than me in this world owns, I love it for the simple fact that it has peony listed as one of the ingredients and Peony just happens to be one of my most favourite words in the dictionary, other than that its a nice smell but not necessarily one I would purchase full size of as I prefer sweeter smelling perfumes and this one is just a little too sharp for my nose, Husbands opinion .....hmmm very oaky ...its alright
No RRP in the book for this sample.

Estee Lauder - Intuition

I wasn't initially sure who this perfume was by so wasn't really sure what to make of it, once I looked in the book I saw Estee Lauder and got excited as I hadn't owned one from this brand previously however once I read that it was spice smelling I was not so pleased as this is really not my smell however I will try for a day see how it goes, see if I get any body notice that sort of thing, and let you know how this goes, Husbands Opinion............Its alright quite potent
RRP £10 5ml

Jimmy Choo

A little Gem, I love love this perfume and was super happy to see this adorable little bottle in my box, I had recently reluctantly run out of this beauty and am over the moon that I now have a little bottle to tide me over until I can get to the shops :) Husbands opinion .......Rosey, he likes it reminds him of autumn. I'm proud of him for spotting the rose and he would of been in trouble if he didn't like it :)
RRP £10 for 4.5ml

Penhaligons  - Ostara

Serious spring time in a bottle right here, this reminded me upon smelling from the bottle of the days as a child collecting rose petals from various neighbours gardens and smashing them all together in some water ( anybody else?) then smothering myself from head to toe in said water, the nostalgia was immense, Once sprayed however it changes completely and I was hit with instant daffodils as if I literally had my head planted firmly inside one smelling its glorious smells, Nothing says spring more than the daffodils popping up to say hello, I shall be wearing my Ostara to greet them that's for sure. A beautiful smell that I am thoroughly pleased to receive as its not one I would have chosen if I was to shop myself but I am incredibly grateful to be able to wear it and encourage spring from its bed.
Husbands Opinion lemony like soap I don't mind it maybe a bit of talc smell too.
RRP £67

Until Next time my lovelies xx
